Besides the flatheads, I understand this weekend will also be a very big inline race. Look for Rick Schnell, John Bradley, Whitey McDonald and a host of other flathead greats to be at this race. This could very well be the big flathead race of the year.

MANDRA ANNOUNCES 2000 SCHEDULE
The Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Drag Racers' Association is pleased to announce it's 2000 racing schedule and commencement of it's second season. There will be a twelve race "Wallace Engine Company Nostalgia Series" points competition, in addition to two non-points races this year. Points competitors can claim points in their best eight of the twelve race series towards the year-end points battle to decide the MANDRA champion for 2000. Last year, our first, we had 37 cars competing in the points chase. This year we anticipate a minimum of 50, due to the new members signed up since November. Our cars include FEDS, altereds, gassers, Super Stockers and old Stockers and Jr.Stockers. All cars must be 1972 model year or OLDER and must visually represent the period of the 50's through 1972. NO ELECTRONICS AND NO SNORKEL SCOOPS OR WINGS. We highly encourage period paint schemes and "old style" wheels. Last year at our banquet, we paid down to 20th place with sponsor monies collected during the year. Between race purses at sponsored events plus the $50 points fund that every racer pays, we gave out almost $8,000 in our innaugural season.
