Neal Chance

Neal Chance said a few years ago that in hind sight, his Chevy-powered B/Modified Sports Cobra wasn't really a very safe car to drive. He said people tried to tell him that, but he was young and bullet proof back then. In case you are wondering, this is the Neal Chance of Neal Chance Racing Converters. His son Marty runs the company now. These pictures look like they were taken at different times on the same day, so I guess he must have gone some rounds. Notice the five yellow light Christmas tree. Also notice the car in the background at the far left in the upper picture. I believe this was the '49-'51 Ford that had been shortened by taking the rear seat area out of it - sort of a home made extreme coupe. I think this car ran as an altered and I kind of think it still had a flathead in it, but I'm not sure. It was really an odd looking vehicle.
