Master engine builder, the late Ted DeTar working on a Hemi. This was not Ted's funny car. He had his hands on an awful lot of Mopars. Jim Henry sent me this info, "On your site where Ted is working on a hemi car adjusting the carb float levels , that is my cousin Walt Ramsden's S/S 66 hemi 4-speed car. I drove it upon occasion as it was a bit much to handle sometimes with 7,000 rpm launches. I was there somewhere that day, probably at the front of the car. The dark headed guy at the door is Bruce Peters. He helped out sometimes. I hung out at Ted's and worked there a bit. Ted would give me breaks on parts and labor for my efforts usually. I still have two boxs of powered rosin from the shop - would definitely be the only two in existence."

The fellow looking over Ted DeTar's shoulder in this second photo is my old racing partner, Dwain Winters.
